  • Jim Ryan - Founder

    A graduate of Notre Dame and USC's business school, Jim has owned a variety of companies in the optical industry, from retail dispensaries to a wholesale optical laboratory and a lens manufacturer. As an early manufacturer of polycarbonate lenses, Jim saw the requirement for tintable scratch resistant coatings and started LTI to fill the need.

  • John Quinn - President

    John joined as President of LTI in 1996. Prior to that, he was Director of European Operations for ADAC Laboratories, the world leader in nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging systems. John is active in a number of industry and business associations including Vistage and The Vision Council, where he served as Chairman of the Anti Reflective Committee for 5 years. John received his undergraduate degree in Economics from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Stanford.

  • Sung Tark - Vice President Research & Development

    Sung has extensive experience in coatings and adhesives and is responsible for leading the R&D team. Prior to joining LTI in 1993, Sung worked on a number of Defense Department projects for PDA Engineering and Pilkington Aerospace, including photochromic systems for military aircraft canopies, large scale photoresist applications, and visible light cure fuel tank sealants. Sung holds M.S. degrees in Organic Chemistry and Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Akron.
